Cold & cloudy, but the Turtle Back Zoo never disappoints.

Mom & books still rule

After all the tractors, trucks, blocks, movies and superheroes, its endearing to see that reading a book with Mom is still your favorite activity.

Some of Nate's "good ideas"

Often times while listening to a story, Nate chimes in with, "I have a good idea!" Here are some of your ideas:

1. When listening to the story of flap doodle the flip floppin' fish who constantly flopped out of the water onto the ground, Nate suggested attaching springs to his fins.

2. When Mommy said she would not like to retrieve Nate's toy cars from the toilet, Nate suggested we keep a rake in the bathroom to do the job.

3. During the story of the lady bug who lived in Unami Park, Nate suggested we hide under the bridge so we can watch her without scaring her.

Ben's first book

When Ben sees this book, he squeals with delight ! He gazes intensely at each page and uses his hands and feet to touch the fuzzy pictures. The last page is a mirror where Ben smiles and burys his head. He closes the book and re-opens it again and again and again.

Ben claps and nods

Ben has learned to clap and an affirming nod for "Yes!"

Nate says, "Ben makes an angry face when he eats ice cream." Dad asks, "Why would he be angry when he eats ice cream ?" Nate replies, "Because he doesn't like the cold !"

Mom gives Nate 2 new toothbrushes - Spider Man & The Thing - and says, "choose which one you want and then give the other one to Ben." Nate says, "I will use one toothbrush for the top teeth and one toothbrush for the bottom. That's a good plan !" and gives Mom a thumbs up.
